If you or someone you know needs help with basic literacy or learning English as a second
language, please call 201-998-3336. 

Students must be over 18 years old, and live in Kearny, Harrison, or East Newark. They must also be planning to remain in the US permanently, and be able to commit to meeting with their tutor for two hours per week. Students are tested to determine their literacy level and then matched with a tutor.

• Read maps, menus, and street signs
